Eddie Keogh

Eddie Keogh is a freelance photographer who shoots sport, mostly for Reuters and also covers England rugby for their main sponsors O2. Keogh has worked as a sports photographer for UK national newspapers from 1986 until 2005, when he joined Reuters as a contract photographer.

Eddie is a Canon Explorer, part of their Ambassador programme, is married with three daughters and lives in Oxfordshire, where on a day off he enjoys riding his bikes in the Chiltern Hills.

Eddie covered his first Olympic Games in Los Angeles, USA, at the age of 21 and including eight football World Cups he has photographed almost every sport ever invented. In 2006 he won the Premier League Football Photographer of the Year award, in 2009 and 2010 the Sports Journalists Association (SJA) Sports News Picture of the Year award and also that year the UK Picture Editors Sports Photographer of the Year award. He also won the SJA Sports Picture Portfolio award in 2012.

With 30 years of experience photographing every sport from Archery to Zinedine Zidane, Eddie enjoys a job that has taken him to the four corners of the globe and some great sporting events. He has worked with Rolex, Rolls-Royce, O2 and Barclays to name a few. Now Eddie shoots mainly for Reuters and other blue chip clients.

Eddie works closely with Canon as part of their Ambassadors Programme, reviewing and testing their cameras and lenses and writing the occasional blog.
